I am still very much amazed and surprised that some so-called well learned Nigerians will be praising this step by the President to declare June 12 as Democracy, giving MKO Abiola the title of GCFR 25 years after he cancellation of the June 12 election in 1993.
Now here is my take on it, President Muhammadu Buhari came into power in 2015, this is 2018 and (9) nine months to the general election, that is (3) years since he took over power that is to say (3)three June 12's and this is the right time he saw to give this honour after all this time, what stopped him from honouring Abiola since he came into power or apologising to the family? Or did he just realise that a wrong needed to be made right? Or is this another move to win him political points in the South West?
Nigerians lets be wise, we are supposed to be more enlightened and smart to let any politician use our head. Make ena shine ena eye oooo
